This week on The Midlifers, we're talking about why turning 40 doesn't mean your best years are behind you. In fact, for many famous people, it was only the beginning.

We share the stories of people including Eric Yuan, who founded Zoom at 41, Colonel Sanders, whose KFC success came after 60, Kris Jenner, who helped launch Keeping Up With the Kardashians in her 50s - but did she also help set up the infamous Kim K tape?? We ponder this possibility.

And it gets us thinking: is midlife actually a crisis… or is it a midlife awakening?

Then we take a very different trip down memory lane with our Then & Now: Shoes segment.

We're revisiting the iconic shoes we wore in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s — jelly sandals, Converse, Doc Martens, Mary Janes, knee-high boots and those ridiculously pointy shoes that made our feet look like they'd been trapped in a Roald Dahl movie.

We talk about the return of 90s fashion, why our feet seem to have changed shape, the joy of comfortable shoes, our teenage shoe obsessions, and the very important question: Are Crocs ever going away? Mez really, really hopes they will!!

Plus, scary clowns, terrified children, Mr Bean nightmares, Halloween displays and plenty of the usual midlife chaos.

It's nostalgia, fashion, career inspiration and a reminder that it's never too late to reinvent yourself.
