Trial Of Caleb Flynn Day 5: Botner's Own Text Said WHAT About Ashley?!

The Caleb Flynn jury heard a message from Alleigha Botner herself: "I want to kill her, Caleb." According to Botner's testimony, Caleb answered, "That makes 2 of us."

Botner is the woman who testified she had an affair with Caleb, whose wife Ashley Flynn was killed at the couple's Tipp City home. Caleb has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder and other charges. Prosecutors allege he killed Ashley and staged a home invasion; the defense says an intruder was responsible and police focused on Caleb too quickly.

The exchange matters because jurors are hearing more than Caleb's alleged hostility toward Ashley. They are also hearing Botner's own language inside the relationship prosecutors have placed at the center of their motive theory. That gives the defense an obvious area to examine when it gets its turn: context, credibility, and whether the messages demonstrate criminal intent or two people using vicious language in private.
