Lindsay Clancy's Holdout Juror Allegedly Lied About THIS

The juror who single-handedly blocked Lindsay Clancy's acquittal allegedly had a restraining order against him for violence against a child while he sat in judgment of a mother who killed hers. And now a judge wants to see his questionnaire.

On September 21, 2026, Judge William Sullivan granted a motion from Clancy's defense attorney Kevin Reddington to produce the holdout's sealed juror questionnaire, preserve related records, and conduct a limited inquiry. The motion alleges the juror may have concealed his criminal history and an active court order during jury selection.

Michael Desronvil was arrested in Brockton in 2021 after he allegedly grabbed his then-wife by the throat and threw her into a dresser. The charge was dismissed. Separately, his teenage nephew obtained a restraining order after alleging Desronvil assaulted him. A judge found the teenager met all elements based on legitimate fear of physical violence. That order was active while Desronvil served on the Clancy jury at Plymouth Superior Court.

Fellow jurors have also alleged Desronvil used his cellphone during deliberations. Reddington wants the phone surrendered to a neutral examiner. A juror accessing outside material during deliberations is the one category that pierces the legal protection shielding jury secrecy.

Desronvil disputes other jurors' accounts through counsel, saying he had no doubts about Clancy's guilt. The defense is building a double-jeopardy argument with newly added attorney Martin Weinberg: if the juror was unqualified, the jury was broken, and the mistrial doesn't count. The next hearing is September 29. DA Tim Cruz has not announced whether he will retry Clancy.
