What Alleigha Botner Searched Three Days After Ashley Flynn Died

Three days after Ashley Flynn was shot in her sleep, her husband's mistress ran a series of Google searches. On cross-examination in the Caleb Flynn trial, the defense read them back to her one at a time, and she confirmed each one, including the search for her own name.

This is the third and final segment of our panel on Alleigha Botner's testimony with retired FBI agents Robin Dreeke and Jennifer Coffindaffer, and it's the one where the defense turns her. Emily Smith got her to agree she has more messages wishing Ashley gone than the jury heard, then asked whether she ever believed Caleb meant what he wrote. "I don't think he could ever be capable of doing something like that." Smith closed by walking her through the morning of the murder: she suspected Caleb, went to sit with Ashley's parents anyway because she "didn't want to look suspicious," and told no one for days. Then the list: police never searched her apartment or her car, never took her DNA or prints, never charged her, never promised her anything.

Caleb Flynn is accused of killing Ashley on February 16, 2026 and staging an intruder. He has pleaded not guilty. The panel takes the three clips apart: what the searches mean, what "not capable" does to the state's case, and whether the woman investigators leaned on was ever looked at herself.
