74: When the Breadwinner Role Flips: Meg Rock on Marriage, Money, and Building a Business from Home

Meg Rock was married to a PGA Tour pro when a back injury changed everything. With two young boys at home and tour income shrinking, she went looking for a way to earn from home and ended up building a direct sales business that grew into a multiple six figure income. Her husband, Brent, stepped into the Mr. Mom role, and the two of them had to figure out a marriage where the roles had completely reversed.

In this episode, Julie and David talk with Meg about what that shift did to their relationship, why she started saying "our business" instead of "my business," and how Brent's time at home paid off for their sons, including a youngest who is now a high school senior fielding baseball scholarship offers. Meg and Julie also compare notes on growing up with undiagnosed learning struggles, and how the things that made school so hard turned into persistence later in life. Meg closes with what she is building now: a new business with LegalShield, which she came to after her own identity was stolen.
