Brion Hurley: (EP 34) Lean is about more than just making profits; it's also about being environmentally conscious.

In this episode, Brion Hurley, author of "Lean Six Sigma for Good," talks about his journey from statistician to principal Lean consultant. He talks about how Lean Six Sigma is beneficial for the environment.  We discuss wastes we normally don't think about such as electrical power being used when no production was happening.  He discussed a range of areas for the application of statistical techniques including a  carbon emission tracking system. Not only is Lean Six Sigma good for the environment it is a truly green PR story in the making!
