9: Taylor Schabusiness Wanted To 'Keep Some Parts She Liked' Of Dead BF

Taylor Schabusiness Wanted To 'Keep Some Parts She Liked' Of Dead BF   In an unfolding drama gripping the nation, the chilling details of the Taylor Schabusiness trial came to light in the courtrooms this week. Her case, charged with the murder and gruesome dismemberment of Shad Thyrion, saw forensic experts lay out the evidence, painting a horrifying image of the crime scene.   Prominent among the witnesses was Dr. Vincent Tranchida from the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office. As the forensic pathologist who performed the post-mortem on Thyrion, Dr. Tranchida offered a chilling testimony detailing the victim's injuries and the exacting method of his dismemberment.   Dr. Tranchida testified, explaining the severity of the wounds inflicted on the victim, "We have decapitation, we have dismemberment, we have transection of the torso... the body has been eviscerated. We have entered the body through various cuts through the abdomen and between the ribs where the victim's organs have been removed, largely one by one." The doctor noted that the dismemberment would have taken several painstaking hours, clearly performed post-mortem due to the lack of hemorrhage associated with the injuries.   As harrowing as this evidence is, its importance cannot be overstated for understanding the sequence of events leading up to Thyrion's tragic demise. The depth of information it provides also casts a spotlight on the complexity of the task faced by the forensic examiners who collected the remains from the Stony Brook Lane residence and the minivan Schabusiness was reportedly driving.   Toxicology reports found traces of cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana in Thyrion's system. However, Dr. Tranchida adamantly stated these substances were not the cause of death. "It is my medical opinion that the cause of death of Shad Thyrion is strangulation and that the manner of death is homicide," testified Tranchida, a finding that shifts the focus squarely onto the actions of Schabusiness.   Further insights were shared by Lt. Tom Buchmann of the Green Bay Police Department, who described Schabusiness's arrest. Captured by bodycam footage, her apprehension occurred after the gold minivan she was known to be driving was located outside an Eastman Avenue apartment. "She appeared to be in shock or very surprised to see us. I'd equate it to a deer in the headlights kind of look or a child caught with their hand in the cookie jar," he said.   Following her arrest, Schabusiness was taken to the Green Bay Police Department. A series of images displayed to the jury documented her blood-stained attire. The state crime lab's DNA analyst, Kevin Scott, confirmed the blood was Thyrion's, adding to the mounting body of evidence against Schabusiness.   Further captivating the courtroom, a former detective from the Green Bay Police Department divulged findings from Schabusiness' cellphone. It was revealed that the defendant had searched for notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, cadavers, and Satan, leading the defense to a motion for a mistrial. Despite the alarming associations and potential prejudicial impact, Brown County District Attorney David Lasee defended its relevance. The judge, taking note of the mistrial motion, ultimately denied it.   The Taylor Schabusiness trial, with its shocking revelations and disturbing associations, continues to captivate the nation, unfolding a tale of horrifying actions and mental instability. As the court delves deeper into this complex case, the spotlight remains focused on the grim details of the crime and the twisted mind of the accused   Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? 17: Trial Of Taylor Schabusiness Day 4 Part 5

This is our raw continuing coverage of The Taylor Shabusiness Trial. Raw courtroom audio from the hearing and trial of Taylor Shabusiness.    In the quiet community of Green Bay, Wisconsin, a case of macabre violence and unsettling details has thrust 24-year-old Taylor Schabusiness into the national spotlight. The charges against her paint a picture of a chilling incident that is as disturbing as it is complex.    Schabusiness stands accused of the gruesome killing of Shad Thyrion, a fellow resident of Green Bay. The prosecution alleges a harrowing series of events involving drug use, sexual abuse, strangulation, and a subsequent act of mutilation that seems ripped from the pages of a crime thriller rather than the tranquil landscapes of Wisconsin.    The charges brought against Schabusiness are weighty. She faces first-degree intentional homicide, accused of having strangled Thyrion. But the cruelty of the alleged act doesn't stop there. Following Thyrion's death, Schabusiness is believed to have embarked on a grisly act of dismemberment, a charge brought against her as mutilating a corpse. The final charge is third-degree sexual assault, based on allegations that Schabusiness engaged in sexual abuse of Thyrion's lifeless body.    What makes this case particularly chilling is the supposed confession by Schabusiness herself. According to the criminal complaint filed in the case, Schabusiness admitted to the killing and even expressed a warped sense of pleasure from the act. “Ya I liked it,” she's reported to have said.    The discovery of Thyrion's remains was a shocking revelation of the horrors. His mother found his decapitated head and a male organ in a plastic container in the basement, prompting an immediate call to the authorities. His legs were later discovered in a crockpot box in a vehicle Schabusiness was said to have been driving, while the rest of his body was found in various bags throughout the basement.    Court records indicate that Schabusiness had been equipped with a GPS monitor due to previous criminal charges. At the time of her arrest, she was wearing this monitor, a detail that seems to add a haunting layer to this tragic story.    The case against Taylor Schabusiness presents a sobering reminder of the depths of human cruelty. As the trial proceeds, the community of Green Bay, and indeed the nation, waits for justice to be served. Regardless of the verdict, the shocking events alleged in this case will linger in the minds of many, a tragic testament to a life that ended in such a brutal manner.    Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? 15: Taylor Schabusiness Found Guilty Of Homicide, Mutilating A Corpse & Sexual Abuse

15: Taylor Schabusiness Found Guilty Of Homicide, Mutilating A Corpse & Sexual Abuse

In a critical development that shook Brown County, a jury on Wednesday found Taylor Schabusiness, a 25-year-old woman, guilty of the chilling charges of homicide, third-degree sexual abuse, and mutilating a corpse. The victim was her former boyfriend, 24-year-old Shad Thyrion, in an incident that took place in February 2022.   After an intense day of final statements and evidence review, the jury began its deliberations at approximately 4:50 p.m. A short fifty minutes later, the twelve jurors, who had been tasked with making this crucial decision, returned to the courtroom. Their verdict: Taylor Schabusiness was to be held accountable for her horrifying actions. This decision was promptly followed by the accused's exit from the courtroom, escorted out by bailiffs in handcuffs.   Schabusiness was initially arrested in February 2022 when law enforcement was called to an address on Stony Brook Lane in Green Bay. Thyrion's mother made a grim discovery that day: she found her son's severed head in a bucket in the house's basement. In the aftermath of this gruesome discovery, Schabusiness was subsequently charged with Thyrion's murder and the horrific act of dismemberment.   Brown County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Walsh has asked the jury to return to the courtroom by 9:15 a.m. the following Thursday. The next phase of the trial is set to examine whether Schabusiness could be deemed not guilty due to mental disease or defect. This plea was entered on her behalf by her former attorney, Quinn Jolly, in September. Jolly represented Schabusiness until an incident in February, when she assaulted him during a hearing.   During their closing arguments on Wednesday, prosecutors Caleb Saunders and David Lasee presented a straightforward case to the jury. Lasee, the Brown County district attorney, stated emphatically, "This is bizarre. This is strange. This is unnatural, but in no way is it unclear," reinforcing that Schabusiness was the cause of Thyrion's demise.   Supporting Lasee's assertions, Saunders, an assistant district attorney, reiterated the central truth of the case, "What the defendant did to Shad Thyrion."   However, defense attorney Christopher Froelich proposed a different perspective. In his opinion, the evidence painted an unclear, confusing picture. "This case is a puzzling, unclear collection of facts," Froelich commented, highlighting the difficulty in ascertaining Schabusiness's intent or whether Thyrion's death was accidental.   The jury, composed of nine women and seven men, underwent an intense selection process. As deliberations commenced, four jurors were marked as alternates to ensure a thorough and impartial verdict.   As the world awaits the next phase of this disturbing trial, it is evident that the case of Taylor Schabusiness continues to captivate public interest, presenting a complex narrative of brutality, law, and potential mental health considerations. The upcoming proceedings will be closely watched and reported as the saga unfolds.   Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE?
