Amber Arnett Part 2: Snitch

Amber Arnett Part 2: Snitch

By the summer of 2023, most would say that Amber Arnett had hit rock bottom. She had lost her home and job after allowing her boyfriend to stay at the care facility that she managed. Amber was also now facing charges due to this incident. She was due to be in court on July 13, 2023, but Amber never made it. In fact, Amber disappeared from Lansing, Michigan, just 19 days before she was to appear in court. We may never know whether Amber was innocent or guilty of the charges because she never had the opportunity to plead her case before the court. As Amber’s loved ones began searching for her, they heard stories about what happened to Amber. They were told that in the lead-up to Amber’s disappearance, suspicions had been brewing in her circle, suspicions that Amber was planning to snitch. If this is true, we have no way of knowing, but the consensus has been that some people believed that Amber was gathering evidence about something so that she could trade that information for a lighter sentence on her pending charges. What that something was, we can’t be sure. There was plenty of criminal activity going on in that circle, but some believe that Amber had witnessed a very serious crime, a murder.

Unique Harris

Unique Harris

On October 9th, 2010, 24-year old Unique Harris spent the evening at her Washington, DC apartment with her two young sons and 9-year-old cousin. They had a movie night planned. Unique spoke to her grandfather that evening and he could hear the kids in the background and popcorn popping. Unique put the kids to bed that night and later vanished. The children awoke the following morning and couldn't find Unique. No trace of Unique has ever been found. If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Unique Harris, you can contact Valencia at 202-664-3173. Her email address is Vharris627.VH@gmail.com. You can contact Detective Michael Fulton at 202-497-3470. You can send anonymous tips via text to 50411.To follow Unique's case on Facebook, there are two groups: Awaiting Unique's Safe Return and Unique RaQuel-Leona Harris Come Home Now!UPDATE- In December of 2020, Issac Moye was charged with Unique’s murder. They were able to match Moye’s DNA to DNA found on a couch in Unique’s residence. While in prison on unrelated charges, Moye confided in another inmate that he had killed a missing girl. At the time of Unique’s disappearance, Moye was wearing a GPS tracker which showed that he was in the area of her apartment that night.2023 UPDATE- According to a Department of Justice press release, “Isaac Moye, 46, of Washington D.C., was convicted today of second-degree murder in connection with the October 2010 disappearance of Unique Harris, a 24-year-old woman who disappeared from her home and whose body has never been found. The verdict was announced by U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves and Interim Chief Ashan Benedict of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). “More than a decade ago, two children lost their mother to a killer who had no regard for anyone’s needs but his own,” said US Attorney Graves. “Thanks to dogged police work by the Metropolitan Police Department detectives who worked this case, and the dedicated, tireless efforts of the prosecution team, a jury held this defendant accountable for this heinous murder.” “I want to offer my deepest condolences to the family of Unique Harris. I commend the hard work of everyone involved in this case, especially our homicide detectives who never give up fighting for our victims and ensuring offenders are held accountable,” Interim Chief Benedict said. “This case is a prime example of our detectives’ dedication and tireless work.” According to the evidence presented at trial, on October 9, 2010, Unique Harris hosted a sleepover for her young children and their nine-year-old cousin at her home in Southeast Washington, D.C. At approximately 9:30 p.m. that night, Harris put the children to bed. At 10:39 p.m., Isaac Moye, a man she had known for only two months, arrived at her home, calling her on her cell phone just moments before entering her building. The next morning, the three children awoke to find their mother gone. Her cell phone and keys were also missing. Her purse and all its contents, including her identification and credit cards were left behind. The eyeglasses she never left home without were also there in the home. Her sofa had been mutilated, a hole cut in the fabric, a section of foam removed. There was no blood, no sign of struggle. And she was never seen or heard from again. Over the course of the next few years, Isaac Moye was interviewed multiple times by members of the Metropolitan Police Department. He changed his story between interviews – denying, then admitting, then denying that he and Unique Harris had ever been intimate, denying that he had ever been in her home overnight, and denying that had seen her the day that she went missing. Moye’s semen was identified on the mutilated sofa cushion and his GPS records placed him at the decedent’s home for the entire night. Moye also made statements to another person, who testified that Moye said there was a missing girl, but that police were “never going to find her” because he “did it, but did it the right way.” Ms. Harris was reported missing on Oct. 10, 2010. Moye was arrested and charged with the murder on Dec. 19, 2020. He has been in custody ever since. Moye faces a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and five years of supervised release.”See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Richard Hillmann

Richard Hillmann

60-year-old Richard Hillmann disappeared after leaving a Friendsgiving party in Merlin, Oregon on November 22, 2017. Richard had plans to cook Thanksgiving dinner for some friends the following day but but by then, Richard was missing. No trace of Richard or his Toyota pick-up truck have been found. Richard's case is baffling with many different theories but not much concrete evidence. If you have any information about the disappearance of Richard Hillman, please call the Josephine County Sheriff’s Department at 541-474-5123. To contact the private investigator, please call the tip line at 541-414-6685. If you would like to follow this case on Facebook, they have a group called The Search for Richard Hillmann. January 24, 2019 UPDATE from Richard's daughter:"It's with a heavy heart that I share some sad news. Yesterday afternoon a gentleman discovered my father's truck along an embankment and partially submerged in the Rogue River, approximately 25 miles west of where he was last seen in Merlin, Oregon, in a fairly remote area. Due to the description, OSP was called to the scene where they confirmed the license plate. There is a badly decomposed body seatbelted in the driver's seat, who will likely be identified as my father. Due to the location, and limited amount of daylight remaining, the vehicle and scene were secured by OSP and left overnight to recover first thing this morning. This remains an investigation so I probably won't be able to share as much as I'd like, but wanted to at least get this piece of information out to everyone. Thank you for continuing to keep my father's story in your prayers and for all of the sharing on social media to make sure he didn't just fade away from people's memories. We obviously never believed we would see him again, but getting this news doesn't make the loss any easier. I guess it does provide some relief just knowing we have him now and can say our proper goodbyes. Hopefully now we can start determining exactly what happened to him. RIP Dad.
