Today is not about actual catfish but the now more common practice of pretending to be someone you're not online and fooling someone into believing that. Now before this was common place there was a great catfish that was involved in national headlines that took a great athlete from beloved to the laughing stock of the nation. It played a part in the future of his career even and I jumped on the dog pile at the time. But now, Netflix has released a documentary detailing the situation in full and you hear from both parties themselves on how this went down. It's disturbing and heart breaking.
