S14 Ep703: The Purge

“We need to institute the Purge so Tom Six can finally release The Onania Club!” - Steve

On this week’s show, the 2023 Halloween Spooktacular continues with an episode on the half-baked horror sensation that started it all, The Purge! Why couldn’t they figure out some way to get the movie out of this house for a few scenes? Does this film universe presuppose that all of us have hidden serial killer desires? Why couldn’t we see some white collar Purge-related crimes? And how are so many people getting lost in this stupid house? PLUS: During the Purge, be on the lookout for Houdini: the Beastiality Fiend!

The Purge stars Ethan Hawke, Lena Headey, Max Burkholder, Adelaide Kane, Rhys Wakefield, Tony Oller, Chris Mulkey, Arija Bareikis, and Edwin Hodge as Bloody Stranger; directed by James DeMonaco.
