In episode 118, Mountain Murders takes a look at an unsolved case from 1980. Two free spirited women who embraced the hippie lifestyle ventured cross country on a trip of a lifetime to the Rainbow Gathering.

Vicki, an experienced hitchhiker, and her young protege Nancy met up with a third friend to journey across America to a beautiful National Park in West Virginia. Only somewhere along the way, the road trip met a deadly end.

With little to go on, the case went cold. 9 local men were implicated in the murders but a turn of events will change the case's history and leave a lot of unanswered questions.

The Devil Made Me Do It

The Devil Made Me Do It

Mountain Murders midweek examines how tabloid headlines reinforce the myth of evil and unhealthy obsession with the occult. Many people blame the increasingly violent behaviors in society on heavy metal music and Satan. But sometimes, the truth is even darker and more disturbing. We take a look at several "Satanic Panic" murders in which the defense used the Devil as the catalyst for criminal behavior.
