Special report: Inside Iran's notorious Evin prison

“A woman, a human rights advocate, and a Freedom fighter.” That’s how the Nobel Committee Chair described Narges Mohammadi, the winner of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize. Mohammadi, who is currently imprisoned in Iran’s notorious Evin Prison, has spent her life campaigning for women’s rights and the abolition of the death penalty in her country. Ahead of the Nobel announcement, with the help of intermediaries, correspondent Jomana Karadsheh interviewed Mohammadi via letter and audio recording from inside Evin Prison.
