Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi did not enjoy this speech.I was invited to debate her at the Oxford Union on Thursday 25th April 2024.The motion was "Populism Is a Threat To Democracy". She argued in favour of the motion. I took the opposition. It is not populism that is the threat. The real threat comes from the elites.I would like to thank the Oxford Union for the invitation. Since October 7th, the voices representing Muslims and Palestinians in the media have been dominated by the more extreme. Moderate voices seem to have been pushed out.I sat down with author and former Islamist turned anti-radicalisation expert Ed Husain.
