I tend to think boredom as a PAINFUL, unavoidable piece of humanity + I try to distract myself and relieve the pain through novelty + exploration. But here's the thing... Boredom is an emotion like any other. It doesn't define me. It defines a feeling. And feelings are there to communicate something. Let it communicate, listen, and adjust. Don't resist it.

Sometimes the magic is lying right below the surface - and we have to allow ourselves settle in silence long enough to find it.

Being bored is not a waste of time. It’s something your brain needs to learn, grow, and recharge. So, do yourself a favor: Give yourself a few minutes a day to let your mind zone out. You and your brain deserve it.

I am learning that not all quiet spaces need to be filled with sound and not all grounded feet need to be moving. There is beauty in boredom. We have forgotten how to just be. - Jennae Cecelia
