Crashing back down to earth

Crashing back down to earth

This is the first podcast in weeks, I took a short break while on tour, so I look back on that, how you end up living in this artificial bubble on tour, which almost feels like a pre-internet period! You have limited news and interaction online and end up forming real life social friendships and bonds, and then after a whirlwind few weeks you are back on the couch staring out the window at the rain. This is one thing but then the real news out there in this deep dark world not only bursts your bubble but stomps it into the ground, smashes it to dust and then sets fire to the dust. I wisely or unwisely step into the Middle Eastern situation to round things off with and try and place it in context with comments Irish people got back in the day....among loads of other dumb and random observations. I lost a lot of braincells on this last tour....and I barely had enough to go round

Speed metal hell

Speed metal hell

In todays random heavy metal ramble AA considers the important difference between speed and thrash metal! get Putin on the fax machine as the jury is in. Artificial intelligence will you ever learn?

Artificial intelligence will you ever learn?

In E 132 AA considers the role of Artificial Intelligence Art generators, recently producing lyrics videos for the likes of Slayer and Megadeth, will there be a need for graphic artists in the future? will we need humans to write songs...to engineer them, or even to sing and perform them? all this and a dumb rock n roll story to fully illustrate how AA has little intelligence and never really learns...http://www.patreon.com/AlanAverillSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/agitators-anonymous-the-alan-averill-podcast. Are we living too fast for slow music?

Are we living too fast for slow music?

Are we living too fast for slower music? have our attention spans been shredded too much to take in bands who would have made the main stage at a festival 20 or 30 years ago? are we just taking in too much negative information to listen to what we consider to negative music anymore within metal? are we just living too fast to take time out with an album to fully absorb it and what part do podcasts themselves play in that?http://www.patreon.com/AlanAverill to support the showSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/agitators-anonymous-the-alan-averill-podcast. 1984 - you will love Big Brother

1984 - you will love Big Brother

In a long overdue episode 130 is a re-reading and discussion of George Orwells 1984, is it a cliche to reference? why do people react to the word Orwellian, does it exist. Why does every generation since its writing find something within it that reminds them of their own society and resonates deeply. Is it a warning from history? does it really read like an instruction manual for our political class or is that just a cliche. A deep dive into one of the most brutal, dark, unrelenting and grim novels ever written. 1984. become a patron over at :https://www.patreon.com/AlanAverillwant to advertise in the show? emailalan.averill@gmail.comsponsorshttps://www.metalblade.compromo code ALAN for 10% off in N.Americahttps://www.hatecouture616.com/promo code ALAN for free shippingSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/agitators-anonymous-the-alan-averill-podcast. No one gets out of here alive.....

No one gets out of here alive.....

Tuesdays tongue in cheek podcast is a sideways look at ageing, becoming classic Dad rock, and getting older with your crowd. Is there anything wrong with this? are we ageing like a fine wine, should we do it disgracefully and let it all hang out and accept the inevitable? why scenes need social reinvention to survive and why this is not really happening anymore and what the hell are young people doing anyway? who knows.....do we care.....? support the show over athttp://patreon.com/AlanAverillSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/agitators-anonymous-the-alan-averill-podcast. Those first tours in Eastern Europe

Those first tours in Eastern Europe

Seeing as Primordial is playing this weekend in Bulgaria and Romania I thought I would take a look back at the same trip we made in the year 2000, our first shows in Eastern Europe other than Poland and how important they were, stories and impressions from the time, historical observations and comparing those countries and the region then to now.....http://www.patreon.com/AlanAverillSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/agitators-anonymous-the-alan-averill-podcast. The Legacy of Venom

The Legacy of Venom

After a few heavy political podcasts let's make todays a simple chat about the legacy of the band Venom! the band without whom almost everything we listen to would be very different, thrash, speed, death and black metal.....would not be the same. Some nostalgia about buying that first Venom single back in the day and a lightning fast highly caffeinated run through their back catalogue!support the show atwww.patreon.com/AlanAverillre-upload for technical reasonsSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/agitators-anonymous-the-alan-averill-podcast.
