26. Mama's Big Feet

Laughing at her own expense, was a hobby of Mom's, perhaps a learned behavior. We swim at the Municipal Pool today. Chivalric flirtation between my mother, and one particular swimmer. Life in an agricultural town. Money & violence, hidden like. Let's spot the predators, before they spot us.

Trying to leave a predator, who's your boss at work. Police in Walla Walla, and the levels of safety, they kept, some of us ... stuck in. _____

Abuse survivors have unusual patterns sometimes, before therapy. Multiple marriages, may be one pattern. Or - Christ "chastity rings" for daughters in conservative churches, as one sister, chose for her children, less than 20 miles from where I type this...

This is the House on Valencia Street. This is a place where ghosts & psychics, with PTSD, exist, & I'm talking about it. Share time with a rare survivor, walking back to haunted rooms and space being claimed from long ago.
