It's the summer of 1932 and Elisabeth Hartsell and her family have moved to Steprock, Arkansas to work on the Hartsell family farm. She and her sisters have to live in a tent and work every day picking strawberries. Despite this massive change in lifestyle, her attitude is full of positivity, and her days off the farm are filled with making friends, flirting with boys, and hoping for the best.
