Jurassic Park Turns 30 Years Old, Avatar Gets a Surprise Edit, and Who is Venom?

During the Summer Game Fest reveal for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, creative director Bryan Intihar confirmed that Eddie Brock will not be the one to bond with the symbiote in the upcoming sequel. This has led to a lot of speculation about who will be the new Venom. One popular theory is that Harry Osborn will become Venom. Harry was infected with the Goblin serum in the first game, and he has been shown to be struggling with his mental health in the sequel's trailers. It's possible that he will bond with the symbiote in an attempt to cure himself, only to become a new, more powerful villain. Another possibility is that Miles Morales will become Venom. Miles has already bonded with a different symbiote, the Carnage symbiote, in the comics. It's possible that he will bond with the Venom symbiote in the sequel, and use its power to fight crime. Disney+ quietly edited the original version of Avatar to add a sequel hook for Avatar: The Way of Water. The change was noticed by viewers after the 2022 sequel arrived on the streaming service on June 7. The new footage shows the human antagonist Parker Selfridge briefly walking out of the crowd to address Jake and Neytiri, saying, "You know this isn't over," before walking away. This moment is viewable at the 2:32:45 mark on the Disney+ version. However, this change feels unnecessary as the sequel has already been released, and Selfridge did not factor into it at all.
