What These Two Crazy Entrepreneurs Think of College (One Loved it, One Didn't!)

What These Two Crazy Entrepreneurs Think of College (One Loved it, One Didn't!)

Join me and Alex Boase in sharing all of our thoughts and insights on - college!

Both of us went, both of us taught (yep! these kids are doomed haha)... one loved it, and one didn't!

In this episode we talked about

  • What we really think of college, and whether it's "essential" to succeed in business
  • Examples of the useless parts and useful parts of college
  • Personal opinions on how we could make college better
  • Other ways entrepreneurs could still learn the best parts of business BEFORE they start a business
  • Other criticisms of college
  • Does college set you up for networking properly and developing EQ?
  • What we think of its costs and the ROI (student loans suck!)
  • How traditional, conventional education takes the creativity out of people
  • How we feel about the future of college

Get to know Alex!

Alex studied practical entrepreneurship for the past 7 years through the lens of product management with early-stage startups, and is about to celebrate the one year anniversary of the opening his first venture, which is a Party Hostel called Why Not Rooftop (@whynotplaya) on the Carribbean coast of Mexico.

Alex has a background in design and conversion optimization, but his bread and butter is in building and developing teams & talent. On the side, he teaches college courses in product management and user experience design.

Hope you loved this episode, and maybe send it to a few high school kids.
