The fight began after a plan to allow extraditions to mainland China. But critics said those in Hong Kong would be exposed to China's deeply flawed justice system, and it would lead to further erosion of the city's judicial independence. During a townhall meeting the 2020 presidential hopeful spoke to the people of Virginia about the recent shooting during a traffic stop in Midland, Texas that left 8 dead. As it all unfolded he told the crowd “this is fucked up!”.
