Tru Miller, a Dutch native, and her California-based husband Donald, were looking to buy a wine estate and the untimely death of Tru's son Arlo pointed her in the direction of Mexico and the Valle de Guadalupe. Adobe Guadalupe has 60 acres of vineyards where they grow Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Nebbiolo, Tempranillo, Malbec, Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre, Syrah and Viognier grapes. They started their vineyards in 98' and had their first harvest in 2000. In addition to being a winery, Adobe Guadalupe is a luxury hotel with a unique breed of horses.
