Ep. 1120 Pablo Fernandez Interviews Angelo Varvaglione | Clubhouse Ambassador's Corner

Welcome to Episode 1120 Stevie Kim moderates Clubhouse’s Ambassadors Corner – In this episode Pablo Fernandez interviews Angelo Varvaglione. These sessions are recorded from Clubhouse and replayed here on the Italian Wine Podcast! Listen in on this series as Italian Wine Ambassadors all over the world chat with Stevie and their chosen wine producer. Which producer would you interview if you had your pick? Guest-Moderator – Pablo Fernandez Pablo is from Florianópolis, Brazil. His background is Engineering and Project Management, working for 15 years with greenfield projects in the energy sector. In 2019, however, he decided to take a sabbatical from his career and after driving 13,000 kilometers through Italy, he realized that his true love and his purpose in life were there. He decided to follow this vocation for the Bel Paese and to turn it into a profession, beginning his training in wine taking several certificates in a short time (Professional Sommelier, WSET Level 3, Italian Wine Scholar). In 2022 he began studying for the WSET Diploma certificate. Also in 2022, Pablo becomes the Italian Wine Ambassador of the Vinitaly International Academy - following the course in London, thus realizing the dream of working with his true passion: Italy and its food, wine, culture and history. Pablo is now working to bring Vinitaly International Academy basic and intermediate courses to the Brazilian public, as he strongly believes in the potential of this market for Italian wines.. He also writes about wine for the websites southamericawineguide.com and vinhosunica.com.br. Today, the third and fourth generation of the family produce wine with innovative methods respecting traditions, writing pages of a new history between past, present and future. In this historic company located in Leporano, in the province of Taranto, within the territory known as Salento, experience and tradition have found full synergy over time through the use of the most advanced winemaking technology and great attention to market needs. Over time, in fact, the technologies used for the production of wines have harmoniously reconciled with the ancient winemaking traditions of the Salento area. Varvaglione 1921 is a constantly evolving winery, which in the past opened to the public with the sale of bulk wine. Today, the Varvaglione 1921 brand is recognized in the national and international market and is supported by a prestigious list of wines that have received numerous awards and recognitions.
