Letrari was founded in 1976 by Leonello Letrari, Margherita’s grandfather, who was one of the major entities in the Trentino wine history. He started in the 1950s with one of the firsts bordolese red wine to then found, twenty years later, the family company together with her wife Maria Vittoria. In 1987 Lucia Letrari entered the winery as oenologist, as her father was, and is now the leader of the company. Margherita chose to follow her mother’s path for passion; she grew up in the wine world and slowly fell in love with it, so that at 18 she decided to partially enter the winery and learn as much as she could. So much that, by now, her (and of course her mother Lucia) are the faces everyone thinks of when thinking of Letrari.
