Swipe right: making dating apps safer

Safety on dating apps has been at the centre of a government roundtable as the number of domestic violence cases across Australia continues to rise.

App companies, domestic abuse survivors and police were all at the summit which was called a few weeks after a NSW woman was allegedly killed by a man she met on a dating app. So, how do we really know who we’re speaking to behind the screen?

In this episode, we speak to e-Safety Commissioner Julie Inman Grant on how we can make dating apps safer.
