Between the Sheets | DERSU

Today we welcome a true storyteller behind the Schirmchendrink counter: DERSU honors Schirmchendrink with his sensational cocktail named “Between the Sheets”! It was many months back when we got in contact and first listened one of DERSU’s sets. This one was called Africa. As fans of beautifully crafted DJ mixes it was clear that we wanted him on the show. DERSU is a creative mastermind telling stories trough film, animation, design, and music. His career led him from sports apparel design to art, film and music. He discovered his passion for the latter as creator of Witness This, an art and culture magazine. His most recent projects include NightCause, a monthly dance party on the West side of L.A. where 100% of the proceeds are donated to charity, and, Wish You Were Here, a daytime party series in Venice Beach. He also is one half of the duo Peace in Noise. Between the Sheets covers many emotions and moods, it's deep and taps into a more industrial and minimal berlin sound, with touches of spiritual and also very heart filling anthems near the end. You can literally tap into the emotions as it’s reflecting DERSU’s personal journey as of lately: challenging, scary, dark while also being incredibly beautiful, expansive and light.
