SAAS-FEE isn't the only place with snow!

It's still Springtime in New Zealand

It's springtime in new zealand - snowboard pro camps made a trip and rode the small and medium features and spring in the southern hemisphere is just like the spring in the north - its all about park laps.

Mt. Hutt, the Remarkables and cardrona as well as a handful of club fields are still open as the season winds down.

RUKA FINLAND

Now up north to Ruka in Finland - the first resort in the world to open this season.

Currently they have 2 of their 30 'Alpine' runs open (and 98.8 miles of nordic trails) and 3 lifts operating. They currently have a base of 8" of frozen granular - aka a majority of man made snow.

Let's go to Colorado.

Colorado Traction Law - new law requires special M+S designated tires, snows, or chains from denver through Vail September through May - Denver to Gypsum (aka through Vail).

Speaking of opening days we have a new resort opening in New Jersey!

Big Snow - America's first indoor snow park opens december 5th in E. Rutherford NJ. -

10 miles from New York City. 160 vertical feet and 1000' long run. 3 surface lifts and a chairlift - a fixed grip quad. Perhaps most promising is their $50 LEARN TO RIDE DAY THAT INCLUDES RENTALS AND LIFT ACCESS.
