There’s a lot about the show that doesn’t really work. The structure is murky, the casting is meh, and the goals are confused. It may have taken “Farmer Wants A Wife” a few years to warm up, but after watching the end of season 3 we are ready to declare that this show scratches the itch that old seasons “The Bachelor” once did. In the two-part finale, Farmers Jay, Colton, John and Matt meet some families and then make their final decisions. There are some genuine surprises! And genuine drama! And genuinely romantic moments, despite the fact that there is an overarching dark-sidedness to it the whole enterprise!
