The Enosimposio of Assoenologi Sicilia took place in Pollina from 5 to 7 July 2024. The theme for this year’s annual event was: ‘The winemaker between history and future: territory, research and culture’. The event explores the evolution of the sector and the role of the modern winemaker. More about today’s guest: Gabriele Valota is the Lead coordinator for Northern Italy for Assoenologi. His role is to coordinate the young enologists and winemakers within the organisation in the university for viticulture and enology studies. Assoenologi, founded in 1891, is the oldest and largest national trade association of wine technicians in the world. With its 128 years of activity, it groups and represents more than 4,000 technicians throughout Italy. Assoenologi provides members with numerous services: from training to legal and tax advice to insurance conventions and access to the labor database. Since 1893, moreover, Assoenologi has been publishing and distributing the magazine 'L'Enologo,' the official organ of the category.
