Lori  -  Connection, Hopelessness and Celebration

Lori  -  Connection, Hopelessness and Celebration

“I could cry. I’m so happy I made the decision to quit. And when you make the decision from a higher place it changes something inside of you.”

Lori is new•ish in her sober journey but like most people knew for much longer drinking may not be for her. Never a heavy drinker, Lori found herself finding more and more reasons to celebrate with wine despite feeling her body reject the alcohol when she drank it leaving her feeling hopeless and with no control.

A woman who loves her people and life, it was at her sister’s birthday when they were at a poolside bar celebrating she just knew she couldn’t do this anymore.

Sober since July 25th Lori shares how she had tried to quit several times before but she was able to truly commit to that when she realized she couldn’t be drinking and connected to her higher self.

We talk about the disservice she was not only doing to herself but her clients and those around her when she was disconnected with alcohol.

She talks about the biggest surprise being she doesn't miss alcohol at all especially when at one point she had just thought this was a part of who she was.

And although she is loving the sober life she is open to a drink in the future if it ever aligns to the woman she wants to be.

About Sober•ish Uprising

At Sober•ish Uprising we find freedom from alcohol on our own terms. Founded by Holly Krivokapich, a former heavy drinker who started a sober•ish uprising of her own and everything changed, we know it's not about saying no to the drink but saying yes to you. Through our podcast, 1:1 coaching and group coaching, we support those to create and live their own sober•ish journey.
