If you've been dreaming of a white Christmas, you may get your wish…and if it's cold you want, that's definitely happening. The Arctic blast meteorologists have been forecasting has hit the Pacific Northwest...and the polar express is headed across the plains to the east. And even before the run on stores from the storm, if you've got a sick child, you've probably already had trouble finding cold medicine. However, as Ann Mercogliano reports…there may be a solution to all those empty shelves. Plus, it's a missing persons case with a lot of troubling questions. 11-year-old Madelina was last seen just before Thanksgiving…but she wasn’t reported missing until last week! Now both her mother and stepfather are facing charges…and no one knows what happened to their little girl. And it was a lifelong dream of a man abandoned as a baby. That one day, he would find his birth family. Fortunately, he's had a long life - because at the age of 90, that dream has now come true. Inside Edition reports…The Washington D.C. police has 26 pages of photos of suspects wanted in connection with the insurrection at our nation’s capital. Thanks to all the selfies and social media posts from the incursion, authorities know exactly who they’re looking for and people are being urged to turn themselves in. All of this comes as new videos emerged that show how outmanned Capitol police were. The riotous crowd that descended on the Capitol also posed problems for the airline industry. President Trump was allowed back on Twitter this morning. Among his first tweets – the news that he will not be attending the inauguration of Joe Biden and his successor. And some senior citizens have been separated from their families for a year and now some four-legged friends are brightening their day. Inside Edition reports…It’s the day after the attack on the U.S. Capitol and there remains stunned disbelief over the unprecedented incursion into the seat of American democracy. There are also a lot of questions about President Trump’s role, the failure of security to protect the Capitol, and why so few people have been arrested. The rioters who were inside the Senate chamber and congressional offices are being called out for, as one senator put it, desecrating a sacred place. The attack on the Capitol is being called one of the darkest days in our history and the whole world is watching with a number of nations gloating over seeing our democracy being threatened. And quick-thinking congressional aides rescued the Electoral College ballot boxes moments before the mob entered the Senate chamber. Now they’re being celebrated for saving the day. Inside Edition reports…A law student went grocery shopping and came home with what he needed to make dinner…as well as the first shot of the Moderna vaccine. A new movement of anti-maskers are invading shopping malls and stores causing all sorts of disturbances. It may not feel too different yet…but when we’re all vaccinated it’s predicted that Americans will let loose in wild scenes we haven’t seen since the roaring twenties. And a proposal you can dance to.
