When celebrities crowd the steps at the Met Gala this year - there may be some uninvited guests nearby. Security has been beefed up because chatter online is urging pro-Palestine protestors to show up and disrupt the event. As Ann Mercogliano reports, today's unsettled times have put a cloud over fashion's biggest night. And she killed her dog and she says she would have killed the president's dog too if it were up to her. Governor Kristi Noem continues to raise eyebrows, especially among dog lovers, with her latest remarks. Plus, Britney Spears is speaking out about the night paramedics were called to a Hollywood hotel after guests reported that she was behaving erratically. Now, she says she wishes her life was as wild as those reports. And he's the undisputed GOAT of pro football…but when it came to roasting Tom Brady, the famous quarterback was shown no mercy as a who's who of football and beyond took the mic. She stayed in as long as she could but today Nikki Haley officially suspended her presidential campaign…without endorsing Donald Trump. Meantime, Trump supporters celebrated his Super Tuesday wins with a blowout party at Mar-a-Lago. But the question many are asking is - where was Melania? And if inflation at the supermarket wasn't bad enough, there's also shrinkflation - where companies give you less product for the same price. And that's even got Cookie Monster worked up. Plus, it's one of the most iconic photos of all time, a sailor kissing a total stranger, a nurse in Times Square celebrating the end of World War II. Now, there's outrage over a request to have it banned from the Department of Veterans Affairs in our Nation’s Capital because...that 70 year old kiss was not consensual. And a woman got quite the shock when she picked up her groceries left outside her door...and she noticed something horrifying. Someone had drawn what looked like a swastika on her box of seltzer…and what really got her shaking was when she checked her security camera and it was her neighbor who happens to be a former pastor.   To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. March is when spring break happens and millions of students head to Florida for vacation. However, they may want to think twice about heading to Miami Beach. The city's just put out an announcement telling spring breakers - "we're breaking up with you." And these days when there's a big public event, there are usually protesters nearby. Picketers caused such delays at the Grammys that some artists almost missed their awards. So organizers of this weekend's Oscars are taking no chances. Jim Moret looks at the barrier being created to keep the Oscars conflict free. Plus, a deadly auto crash left two children dead when a car hit the horse and buggy they were in. Cops say a woman confessed to being behind the wheel - but they say she wasn't the driver. They say she switched places with her identical twin. And she's a single mom taking a trip by plane with her son…and when they landed, she was stopped by police who say they were alerted to a possible human trafficking situation. Les Trent talked with the mom who was wrongly accused and is understandably furious about what she and her four-year-old went through. If seven feet of snow's not enough…more snow is on the way to Northern California which is already dealing with record snow, and winds from a storm that hit over the Sierra Nevada over the weekend. About 100 miles of the main interstate through the area was closed and people were literally snowed in, including a man who kept his own blizzard video diary. And it's been more than six weeks since Princess Kate had abdominal surgery and she is still weeks away from resuming her public duties. Now we're seeing the first photo of the princess since her release from the hospital. Plus, she's about to sail into the record books as the first American woman to sail solo around the world. And what a voyage it’s been…she spoke via satellite with our Ann Mercogliano. And he's been in the spotlight lately thanks to his brother dating Taylor Swift...and today Jason Kelce was front and center as he made a tearful announcement that after 13 years with the Philadelphia Eagles, he's ready to hang up his helmet. It’s supposed to be the easiest and most convenient way to see a doctor - heading to your local Urgent Care. However, one couple who went to get help for the flu - ended up with a different kind of emergency. Les Trent explains. And she's the Connecticut mom who disappeared five years ago...her estranged husband was the prime suspect when he committed suicide. Now, his girlfriend has been found guilty of helping him cover up the crime. She was so devastated upon hearing the verdict she broke into tears, unable to even lift up her head. Plus, a 75-year-old man came out of retirement to take a job as a substitute teacher. Then he ended up being assaulted by a 6’ 2” – 280 pound student! As Ann Mercogliano reports, the teacher wants to press charges...but so far no arrest. And family and friends, as well as fellow nursing students of slain Laken Riley said their final goodbyes today as she was laid to rest. Her murder on the campus of the University of Georgia has become a political hot potato since the suspect is an illegal migrant. However, today that was put aside to remember a life so full of promise cut short. For more than a decade, Oprah Winfrey has been part of Weight Watchers as a spokesperson, shareholder and board director. However, on the heels of admitting she used a weight loss drug, she's stepping away from the board - and the news absolutely tanked the company's stock. And there's a new player in the NHL who's making more headlines for cantankerousness than his puck handling. He's gotten into so many fights, he's spent more time in the penalty box than on the ice. Plus, is it possible that what we thought we knew about that catastrophic explosion of the submersible visiting the Titanic was all wrong, and the five people on board didn't die instantly as was first believed? New audio has just been released...and on it you can clearly hear what sounds like banging every 30 minutes. Steven Fabian on the horrifying possibility this raises. And if it's your birthday today it's not something you get to celebrate very often, since Leap Year only rolls around every four years. It's a family's worst nightmare. A five-year-old girl wandered away from home into an alligator infested swamp in Florida. Night was beginning to fall and sheriff’s deputies were called to launch a search. Incredibly, the little girl was found. Les Trent has details. And President Biden headed off for his annual physical - something all presidents do every year. However, given the emphasis on Mr. Biden's age in an election year, the routine physical is anything but routine. As Steven Fabian reports, when it was over Biden joked about what the doctor's told him. Plus, she's the teen who was traumatized twice. First, when she says she was raped when she was only 16…then again when the judge reversed her assailants conviction - setting him free. Now that judge has been removed from the bench - and she tells Ann Mercogliano she feels vindicated. And he's a college swimmer who got a little too excited too soon - celebrating his win before the other swimmer's finished. And he ended up disqualified. Now his teammate who was named the official winner says the disqualification is the dumbest thing ever. The murder of a nursing student on the campus of the University of Georgia while she was jogging alone continues to be a wakeup call for women across the country to be extra vigilant. Now this woman has come forward to say she too was attacked while out on a trail alone...thankfully, she was able to scream for help and fight off her attacker. And as the biggest pop star in the world, Taylor Swift is used to being mobbed…but when one photographer got too close, it wasn't a bodyguard who stepped in. It was Taylor's dad...now he's being accused of assault. Plus, you've probably heard how the military was tracking a balloon as it floated across the western part of the country last week. Initially, the worry was it was another balloon from China...now only Inside Edition can reveal who sent up the balloon and where it’s in the sky today. And California's Death Valley is the hottest and driest place on Earth. But now it has a big lake! So what's going on? Jim Moret went there to find out.
