A woman was killed by a rampaging elephant on safari. She's a 79-year-old grandmother from Minnesota and her family says she was on her last big adventure before turning 80. And it's a crime wave happening across the country that you may not be aware of - phony tree trimmers. A guy shows up at a home sand says he needs to check a tree in the backyard that's hanging onto a powerline. However, as the homeowner escorts him outside, a second guy enters the home and steals as much as he can carry. Steven Fabian spoke with two women who are sounding the alarm. Plus, Coast Guard inspectors were going about their daily checks on a loading dock when they heard some scratching coming from inside a giant shipping container. When they finally reached what was inside, they were in for quite a surprise. Steven Fabian tells us what they found. And a man was driving a loaner car while his car was in the shop when he was pulled over. Within moments, the driver was terrified he was going to be shot by officers. As Jim Moret reports, it was all a big mistake. To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Inside Edition reports…However terrible you think the siege of the U.S. Capitol was, it’s worse than you thought. There are legislative attacks on Donald Trump’s hold on the White House. While some of the rioters were head-to-toe in combat gear, others were decked out in bizarre combinations of furs, face paint, and tattoos. Did those outfits exacerbate the mayhem? And America’s cities are swamped with cars now that so many people are avoiding public transportation. What the cities don’t have are enough parking spots which has led to short tempers when it comes to nabbing a parking space. Inside Edition reports…It’s the day after the attack on the U.S. Capitol and there remains stunned disbelief over the unprecedented incursion into the seat of American democracy. There are also a lot of questions about President Trump’s role, the failure of security to protect the Capitol, and why so few people have been arrested. The rioters who were inside the Senate chamber and congressional offices are being called out for, as one senator put it, desecrating a sacred place. The attack on the Capitol is being called one of the darkest days in our history and the whole world is watching with a number of nations gloating over seeing our democracy being threatened. And quick-thinking congressional aides rescued the Electoral College ballot boxes moments before the mob entered the Senate chamber. Now they’re being celebrated for saving the day.
