A woman was killed by a rampaging elephant on safari. She's a 79-year-old grandmother from Minnesota and her family says she was on her last big adventure before turning 80. And it's a crime wave happening across the country that you may not be aware of - phony tree trimmers. A guy shows up at a home sand says he needs to check a tree in the backyard that's hanging onto a powerline. However, as the homeowner escorts him outside, a second guy enters the home and steals as much as he can carry. Steven Fabian spoke with two women who are sounding the alarm. Plus, Coast Guard inspectors were going about their daily checks on a loading dock when they heard some scratching coming from inside a giant shipping container. When they finally reached what was inside, they were in for quite a surprise. Steven Fabian tells us what they found. And a man was driving a loaner car while his car was in the shop when he was pulled over. Within moments, the driver was terrified he was going to be shot by officers. Major scare on a Delta flight as the pilot announces that the chicken that was just served was contaminated and they were turning around for an emergency landing. 70 passengers reportedly ate the contaminated chicken. And, hurricane Beryl continues to pummel the Caribbean making landfall today in Jamaica. But there's been a bit of a war with technology versus tradition. For the last couple years many celebrations replaced fireworks with synchronized drones because of concerns over wildfires and air pollution. But this year tradition wins. The judge tried her best to get the jury to come to a verdict in the Karen Read murder trial but, in the end, they just couldn't come up with a decision. After eight weeks of testimony and 68 witnesses, the case has ended in a mistrial. And, it was supposed to be a much lighter weekend at Camp David for the Bidens - sitting for a family photo shoot. Instead, it turned into a serious family meeting about how to move forward after last week's disastrous debate. Plus, among the most popular fireworks on July 4th are roman candles which shoot exploding shells into the sky. You're supposed to put them on the ground to launch... But too many people are misusing them. And, a church youth group was enjoying a hike through a scenic canyon in Utah when boom - they were struck by lightning. Deliberations continue in the murder trial of Karen Reed, the Boston area woman who could face life in prison if convicted for the death of her boyfriend. The defense contends she was framed, and a raucous crowd outside the court house agrees. Which has prompted a question - can the jury hear them? And if they can, could it impact their deliberations?  And tomorrow marks the first big event of the 2024 presidential campaign as President Biden and former President Trump meet in a face to face debate. Predictions are this will be the busiest July 4th travel weekend ever!
