Alphonzo Cross has more than 25 years of experience that includes retail sales, commercial property management, food & beverage management, and general project management. After moving to Atlanta from San Francisco in 2011, he co-founded The Boxcar Grocer with his sister, Alison Cross. The Boxcar Grocer was a corner market that sold quality food products and flourished for over 3 years before closing its doors in 2015.

The following year, Alphonzo launched Quintessential, a brand development company that concepts, brands, and executes integrated boutique hospitality experiences. In 2017, he hosted the 5-part speaker series titled, "Hospitality & Retail in the New Atlanta" before launching Quintessential's first brand, Parlor, in 2018.

Over the last decade, Alphonzo has helped redefine the landscape of one of Atlanta's hottest areas, Castleberry Hill. He holds a communications degree from the University of Denver and a MFA from the Academy of Art University.
