Eight years after 19-year-old Stephen Smith’s body was found on a rural South Carolina road, investigators are finally saying the thing his family has known all along: He was not killed in a hit-and-run... STEPHEN WAS MURDERED. Now that Alex Murdaugh has been convicted in the murders of his wife and son, it’s time to take a look back on all the pieces that had to come together for the jury to deliver that guilty verdict.
