Diddy's Team Claims CNN Altered & Destroyed Cassie Video In New Court Filing
The footage is brutal. There’s no way around it. The grainy hotel surveillance clip from 2016 shows Sean “Diddy” Combs physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a hallway. It’s not a rumor. It’s not hearsay. It’s right there in black and white. And when CNN obtained the video and aired it, the world saw something Diddy had spent years denying. His response? An Instagram apology, admitting his actions were "inexcusable" and saying he was "truly sorry."

End of story? Not quite. Because now, Combs and his legal team are crying foul, claiming the video was “altered.” They’ve filed a letter with prosecutors arguing that CNN “substantially altered” the footage—covering the timestamp, changing the sequence, and speeding it up to make his actions look worse. The letter, obtained by The Mirror US, insists the video is misleading and should be thrown out. The implication is clear: if they can make the tape look unreliable, they can cast doubt on the entire case.

CNN, for its part, is having none of it. A spokesperson flatly denied the allegations, stating that CNN “never altered the video and did not destroy the original copy of the footage, which was retained by the source.” They also pointed out that the network aired the story months before Combs was arrested, suggesting there’s no grand conspiracy here—just an undeniable piece of evidence that doesn’t do Diddy any favors.

Cassie’s attorney, Douglas Wigdor, had a response of his own, and he didn’t mince words. He called Combs’ argument “disingenuous” and said it’s nothing more than an attempt to keep “disturbing” evidence out of court. He added that he is “confident that the video fairly and accurately represents what happened” and that Combs will be held accountable for his actions.

The stakes here are enormous. The lawsuit Cassie filed in November 2023, which was quickly settled, already painted a damning picture of their relationship. She accused Combs of years of physical and sexual abuse, and though he initially denied the claims, this video aligns perfectly with her allegations. It’s a rare instance where the public gets to see what usually stays hidden behind closed doors.

Of course, Combs’ legal team is doing what any defense team would—throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. Their letter claims CNN “purchased the only known copy of the hotel’s surveillance footage, uploaded that footage into a free editing software, altered the video, and then destroyed the original footage.” Now, they plan to file a motion regarding the video and “disclose subpoenaed materials to the government.”

But here’s the thing: if this tape was doctored, why hasn’t Combs’ team produced another version? If CNN truly manipulated the video, wouldn’t the hotel itself have a backup to prove it? Instead, the argument relies on speculation—an attempt to muddy the waters and make people question their own eyes. Because if there’s anything history has taught us, it’s that powerful men caught in ugly situations don’t go down quietly. They fight. They distract. They reframe the narrative.

But at the end of the day, the tape exists. And it’s hard to watch. It’s not about a he-said-she-said anymore. It’s about what we can see with our own eyes. And no amount of legal maneuvering changes that.

Diddy Trial Day 12 BOMBSHELL! Former Assistant 'Mia' Testifies to Rape, Coercion & Control

Diddy Trial Day 12 BOMBSHELL! Former Assistant 'Mia' Testifies to Rape, Coercion & Control

In one of the most disturbing days yet in the federal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, the court heard harrowing testimony from a former insider known only as “Mia.” For nearly a decade, she worked as Combs’s personal assistant—but what she revealed on the witness stand painted a picture of alleged abuse, sexual violence, and total psychological domination. Mia testified that while employed by Combs from 2009 to 2017, she was subjected to coercive control, routine verbal and physical abuse, and multiple instances of sexual assault—including rape. She described being forbidden to lock doors, deprived of sleep for days at a time, and pressured into drug use. She alleged that Combs frequently threw objects at her in anger—phones, a computer, even a bowl of spaghetti—and once slammed a door repeatedly on her arm. Her account added disturbing new context to previous claims by other witnesses, including R&B singer Cassie Ventura. But the day didn’t start with Mia—it began with Deonte Nash, a stylist and close friend of Cassie, who told the jury he personally witnessed Combs assault Cassie in 2013. The defense tried to discredit him on cross-examination, raising questions about his timing and relationship with Cassie. However, once Mia took the stand and described the exact same night—the same violent details, the same people present—his credibility was unexpectedly reinforced. This episode breaks down everything that happened in the courtroom on May 29, 2025. We explore the overlap in testimony, the strategy from both sides, and how these independent accounts might reshape the entire case. Was this the day the prosecution finally connected all the dots? #DiddyTrial #SeanCombs #CassieVentura #TrueCrimeDaily #CourtroomDrama #WitnessTestimony #FederalTrial #SexualAssaultTrial #DeonteNash #MiaTestimony

In this gripping episode, retired FBI Behavioral Analyst Robin Dreeke joins Tony Brueski to break down the psychological machinery that kept Diddy’s inner circle silent—even when things turned dark. From emotional manipulation and power dynamics to fear-based loyalty, we explore the three core psychological levers that made it nearly impossible for those close to Sean "Diddy" Combs to challenge or expose him. Diddy Trial Recap - From Stylist to Star Witness - Deonte Nash Testifies Against Diddy in Federal Trial

Diddy Trial Recap - From Stylist to Star Witness - Deonte Nash Testifies Against Diddy in Federal Trial

Diddy Trial Recap - From Stylist to Star Witness - Deonte Nash Testifies Against Diddy in Federal Trial In today’s explosive development in the federal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, former celebrity stylist Deonte Nash took the stand and delivered jaw-dropping testimony that may change the trajectory of the entire case. In this video, we break down Nash’s detailed account of years of alleged abuse, intimidation, and manipulation, particularly targeting Diddy’s former partner, Cassie Ventura. Nash described scenes of emotional and physical violence, including an incident where Diddy allegedly threatened to release intimate videos of Cassie as punishment for disobeying him. This moment, told under oath, adds weight to previous testimony and offers the prosecution a powerful piece of corroborating evidence as they attempt to build a racketeering conspiracy case under the RICO Act. But the drama didn’t stop there. The defense team quickly moved to strike back, filing a motion for mistrial over testimony linked to a 2012 arson involving Kid Cudi’s car—alleging that the prosecution crossed a line by implying evidence was destroyed in connection with that fire. Judge Arun Subramanian wasn’t convinced. He denied the motion and instructed the jury to disregard the disputed remarks, signaling a strong stance on keeping the case focused and on track. This episode explains the day’s legal strategies, the real meaning behind the RICO charges, and why this trial is about more than just celebrity—it’s about whether a pattern of behavior can rise to the level of organized criminal enterprise. Whether you’re following the case closely or just tuning in, this is one update you don’t want to miss. #truecrime #DiddyTrial #CassieVentura #DeonteNash #SexTrafficking #RICOcase #CelebrityCrime #JusticeForCassie #KidCudi #RevengePorn Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?  Check out our YouTube Channel. https://www.youtube.com/@hiddenkillerspod Instagram https://www.instagram.com/hiddenkillerspod/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/hiddenkillerspod/ Tik-Tok https://www.tiktok.com/@hiddenkillerspod X Twitter https://x.com/tonybpod Listen Ad-Free On Apple Podcasts Here: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/true-crime-today-premium-plus-ad-free-advance-episode/id1705422872

Who Is Capricorn Clark—and Why Is Her Testimony Shaking the Foundation of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s Empire?

Who Is Capricorn Clark—and Why Is Her Testimony Shaking the Foundation of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s Empire?

Who is Capricorn Clark—and why is her testimony shaking the foundation of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s empire? In this true crime deep dive, we break down the incredible, disturbing story of Capricorn Clark, the former assistant turned executive who spent over a decade working inside Diddy’s inner circle. From 2004 to 2018, Clark was more than just a staffer—she was a trusted insider. She ran his schedule, managed Cassie Ventura’s brand, and worked closely with him on his fashion and music ventures. But what she revealed in federal court pulls back the curtain on a world driven by power, fear, and silence. Clark testified that Diddy created a workplace fueled by intimidation—where threats were common and loyalty was extracted, not earned. She described being forced to take five days of lie detector tests after jewelry went missing, allegedly warned that if she failed, she’d be “thrown in the East River.” She spoke about being screamed at, shoved, and coerced into loyalty even after leaving multiple times. But the most chilling part? Her account of December 22, 2011. According to Clark, Diddy showed up at her apartment before dawn with a gun, furious that Cassie was dating Kid Cudi. She says he forced her into a car, told her they were going to kill Cudi, and drove to his house. She secretly called Cassie on a burner phone, warning her. The situation spiraled into an alleged home invasion, a hostage-style exchange, and a brutal beating of Cassie—all while Clark watched in horror. This video unpacks the full story: who Capricorn Clark is, what she lived through, and why her voice could change everything in the racketeering case against Sean Combs. #capricornclark #diddytrial #cassieventura #kidcudi #federaltrial #truecrime #celebritycrime #racketeering #courtroomdrama #musicindustryexposed Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
