Tilo Schwarz

Tilo was plant manager at Festool; the award-winning German power-tool manufacturer.
At Festool Tilo and his management team started practicing Toyota Kata in 2007, as part of Mike Rother's groundbreaking research.
By doing so, Tilo and his team established continuous improvement as a daily working routine throughout all processes and areas of the plant. That led to winning the A. T. Kearny manufacturing competition "Factory of the Year" and the WHU/INSEAD Industrial Excellence Award.

Maria Tapani Larson

Maria is a seasoned Lean management expert, currently serving as the Regional Lean Director at AstraZeneca in Södertälje, Sweden. She also holds a part-time position as a member of the board at Lean Forum. Her extensive background in Lean practices includes roles such as Lean Partner at SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) and Lean Manager at Scania's Global SPS Office. Maria has also held significant positions at Skanska, focusing on operational development, and served as Interim Director of Manufacturing and Packaging at AstraZeneca. Her expertise spans across strategic project coordination, lean training, and leading improvement initiatives across multiple sectors.
