Shifting into High Gear to Unleash Your Potential with Dr. Delatorro McNeal, II

Today, Michael welcomes Dr. Delatorro McNeal, II. Delatorro is a highly acclaimed Peak Performance Expert, Global Speaking Coach, Hall of Fame Speaker, and the creator of the "Healing With Integrity" free online course. As one of the top 1% of paid speaking professionals globally, Delatorro is a trusted voice in the corporate world for leadership, team building, presentation skills, and personal and professional development. His latest book, Shift Into A Higher Gear, soared to the top of USA Today, Barnes & Noble, and The Wall Street Journal bestseller lists and was named Top 10 Best Books for Living your Best Life. In this episode, Michael and Delatorro chop it up on:

-The early grooming and mentorship Delatorro received from his parents and his first Black teacher who encouraged him from a young age to speak in front of audiences, to always do and be his best, and to be of service—laying the foundation for his current career

-The major tenets of his book, Shift Into A Higher Gear, and how it uses motorcycle riding (Delatorro's been an avid motorcycle rider for 17 years) as a metaphor for being successful in life

-Delatorro's viral "Healing With Integrity" videos and free online course, which came about after he experienced a painful relationship breakup with his fiance

-Why the quality of our emotional states determines our happiness; how motorcycle kickstands represent our excuses; why we sometimes experience burnout and how to maneuver through that; how to be just 1% better each day; plus so much more!

Next, Michael leads a guided meditation on having an intention to wake up.
