Ep. 366: CM Punk fired + the Intercontinental Championship

Hal, Danielle and Lindsey are ready to discuss another week in wrestling news both within and outside the ring.

CM Punk has been fired from AEW. He was inarguably the promotions biggest star and the favorite of Tony Khan. Now that he’s no longer All Elite, should we expect him to wrestle somewhere else soon? And now AEW can focus on the important task: getting their scripted stories to match the compelling drama of their behind the scenes antics.

Plus: WWE’s latest Saturday show Payback! No Bloodline? No overseas venue? No problem! It wasn’t quite as compelling as other shows we’ve seen from the company this year, but there was still a lot to enjoy.

The Main Event: The legacy of the Intercontinental Championship

The Intercontinental Championship is one of the longest running championships in WWE. It's been held by tons of all-timers as the "workrate" or "stepping stone" title before someone is ready to hold the world championship.

The Three Count:

Danielle put over Christian stealing another belt.

Lindsey put over The Judgment Day on the Bump.

Hal put over Gunther's Chops.

Hosted by Hal Lublin, Danielle Radford, and Lindsey Kelk.

Produced by Julian Burrell for Maximum Fun.
