Jonathan Wheatley’s arrival from Red Bull has transformed Sauber’s pit stops into some of the fastest on the grid, while key new hires from Ferrari and indeed Red Bull are laying the groundwork for Audi’s F1 future. With a perfectly balanced upgrade package and a car that finally feels right, Nico Hulkenberg is back at his best and rookie Gabriel Bortoleto is earning respect as one of the more interesting newcomers in the paddock. The team’s new focus on steady progress, sharp operations and staff who know how to win means this is only the beginning.
