"A Cosmic Return" with Andy Mientus

Connor and Dylan are joined by Andy Mientus (The Jonathan Larson Project, Smash). The Double DRAMA club gets a little bigger this week, as Andy Mientus RETURNS to the pod. It’s been nearly four years since his last stop at our headquarters, so we’ve got a lot of catching up to do. #ButFirst, we revel in the joys of Lady Gaga’s new studio album Mayhem. These Little Monsters have their paws UP. Andy and the twins reflect on their first podcast episode in 2021, which planted seeds of ideas for what’s come to fruition: Maybe Happy Ending on Broadway, Andy’s debut YA novel Fraternity, and even a stage return with The Jonathan Larson Project. We learn all about this “gallery-show” musical, which features original never-before-heard Jonathan Larson songs in a full-fledged stage production. Hear about Andy’s journey with his character in the show, how “Valentine’s Day” has switched POVs, and his talented castmates. Fifteen years later, Andy shares untold stories from his time in Spring Awakening’s First National Tour. Dramaaaaa.
