So, is it him? Plus, police officers are used to dealing with all kinds of challenges, but this one nearly cost an elderly couple their lives. A house was engulfed in flames and the fire department wasn’t there yet. But when cops burst in to save the couple, they had to battle smoke and flames - and a lot of junk! And it's one of the wildest alleged insurance scams we've ever heard. The owner of the car says it was a bear that scratched up the interior, but authorities say it wasn't a bear at all. It was him dressed up in a bear suit. They are hideous racists texts being received around the country - and now the FBI is investigating. In at least 11 states, Black Americans are receiving texts with references to plantations and slave masters. It's not clear who's behind them but both the Trump campaign and the White House are denouncing them. And drivers in the Raleigh area are breathing a sigh of relief following an arrest in connection with random shootings on a busy freeway. One person was injured, and multiple cars damaged by the gunfire. Now cops say they've arrested a suspect - turns out he's a local college student. Plus, the new district attorney in Los Angeles says he'll review all the evidence in the Menendez case before he decides whether to revisit the life sentence given brothers Lyle and Erik. Central to that review will be a letter purportedly to a cousin describing the abuse at the time it was happening. But as Jim Moret reports, questions are now being raised about its authenticity. Less than 48 hours after Donald Trump’s historic re-election to the White House, the blame game is on, as those who are disappointed the Democrats didn't retain the presidency, have a long list of people they're not happy with-- including some of the celebrities who endorsed Kamala Harris. And on late night TV where the comics usually play things for laughs, the election results hit hard. It's no secret the hosts were not in Trump's corner and they're not at all being coy about how they feel now that he's won the election. Plus, the results of the election may also put the brakes on efforts to free Lyle and Erik Menendez from prison. While the current LA District Attorney has revisited the case, the newly elected DA says he hasn't yet made a decision about whether or not he'll support the brothers release. And new concerns today for one of the astronauts stranded on the International Space Station. The former President won a convincing victory and today there's speculation over who will play what kind of role in the Trump administration. And once again -- the pollsters got it wrong. Kamala Harris got a boost a few days before the election when one poll found Trump trailing in Iowa. The former President handily 'won' that state. Other polls said the race was too close to call. Trump won by more than four and a half million votes. So, what happened? Plus, with his return to the White House assured, how many of Donald Trump's campaign utterances will come to pass? He vowed retribution against those he perceives did him wrong. He's promised pardons for those convicted in connection with January 6th and then there are his 'own' legal cases. And while it was a happy night for Trump supporters, it was the opposite for Kamala Harris' supporters.
