It's the arrest that's shocking America. The third-grade schoolteacher accused in the slaying of a husband and wife while out hiking with their two young daughters. The suspect was arrested... while he was getting a haircut. Now that hair stylist is talking, and she says it was like touching a monster. The revelation that singer Justin Timberlake has been stricken with Lyme disease is throwing the spotlight on the debilitating ailment that affects millions. Doctors say they are seeing a surge in tick bites with more people than ever coming into the E-R... Some are even calling this- the summer of the tick. A big makeover is coming to The White House. The Trump administration says it plans to build a massive $200 million ballroom to be financed by President Trump personally... with contributions from donors. The design looks just like the ballroom at Mar-A-Lago. This month's issue of Vogue magazine is drawing a lot of attention... not for its cover of actress Anne Hathaway, but for an Ad for guess jeans. The models are gorgeous, but they're not real. And.... that has real flesh-and-blood models in an uproar. After Donald Trump met with President Biden yesterday in the Oval Office he returned to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach where he led a sing along of “God Bless America” with his new right-hand man - Elon Musk. And the other day we told you about the father of three who cops say left his family behind and fled overseas to start a new life with another woman. Video has now surfaced of a man resembling the dad talking about being unhappy in his marriage and wanting to leave the country. So, is it him? Plus, police officers are used to dealing with all kinds of challenges, but this one nearly cost an elderly couple their lives. A house was engulfed in flames and the fire department wasn’t there yet. But when cops burst in to save the couple, they had to battle smoke and flames - and a lot of junk! And it's one of the wildest alleged insurance scams we've ever heard. The owner of the car says it was a bear that scratched up the interior, but authorities say it wasn't a bear at all. It was him dressed up in a bear suit. Now, four suspects are charged with insurance fraud and conspiracy. One week after his election victory, Donald Trump was back in the Oval Office meeting with President Joe Biden -- a two hour get together that Mr. Trump said was very cordial and gracious. And the President- elect's cabinet is quickly taking shape with more appointments being announced. The biggest surprise? Controversial Congressman Matt Gaetz as attorney general. And Michael Strahan is speaking out after some say he was being disrespectful during the National Anthem at last weekend's "NFL Sunday" broadcast. He says he meant no disrespect-- that he was caught up in the moment. Plus, we're now learning that when Taylor Swift and Chiefs fans were cheering on Kansas City last month, thieves were breaking into Travis Kelce’s home. And it turns out, just one day earlier there was a break in at his teammate Patrick Mahomes’ house. And if you're single and fed up with online dating and the bar scene, you may want to try going to Home Depot. It's now being called 'the place to meet someone new.’ To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Six years after two young teenaged friends were found murdered in Delphi, Indiana, a jury has decided the case. After more than three full days of deliberations, the verdict is in. Richard Allen faces up to 130 years in prison. And they thought they were going to die. That's the word from passengers on a Royal Caribbean cruise from Spain to Miami when it hit a squall near the Canary Islands. The ship careened to a 45 degrees angle. Plus, over in the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs remain the only undefeated team in the league, confirming Taylor Swift's role as a good luck charm. And did you ever do a message in a bottle? More than a quarter of a century ago a fourth grader made one as part of a class project. They are hideous racists texts being received around the country - and now the FBI is investigating. In at least 11 states, Black Americans are receiving texts with references to plantations and slave masters. It's not clear who's behind them but both the Trump campaign and the White House are denouncing them. And drivers in the Raleigh area are breathing a sigh of relief following an arrest in connection with random shootings on a busy freeway. One person was injured, and multiple cars damaged by the gunfire. Now cops say they've arrested a suspect - turns out he's a local college student. Plus, the new district attorney in Los Angeles says he'll review all the evidence in the Menendez case before he decides whether to revisit the life sentence given brothers Lyle and Erik. Central to that review will be a letter purportedly to a cousin describing the abuse at the time it was happening. But as Jim Moret reports, questions are now being raised about its authenticity. And Mae West famously said, 'too much of a good thing can be wonderful.' but maybe not...if it's pickles. Les Trent has the story of a woman who was nuts about pickles, but after she ate a ridiculous amount of them, she was, well - in a pickle.    To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Less than 48 hours after Donald Trump’s historic re-election to the White House, the blame game is on, as those who are disappointed the Democrats didn't retain the presidency, have a long list of people they're not happy with-- including some of the celebrities who endorsed Kamala Harris. And on late night TV where the comics usually play things for laughs, the election results hit hard. It's no secret the hosts were not in Trump's corner and they're not at all being coy about how they feel now that he's won the election. Plus, the results of the election may also put the brakes on efforts to free Lyle and Erik Menendez from prison. While the current LA District Attorney has revisited the case, the newly elected DA says he hasn't yet made a decision about whether or not he'll support the brothers release. And new concerns today for one of the astronauts stranded on the International Space Station. Photos show Sunny Williams looking much thinner than when she landed at the station five months ago.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. In what's being called one of the greatest comebacks in political history, Donald Trump, the twice impeached 45th President of the United States has won another four years as the 47th. The former President won a convincing victory and today there's speculation over who will play what kind of role in the Trump administration. And once again -- the pollsters got it wrong. Kamala Harris got a boost a few days before the election when one poll found Trump trailing in Iowa. The former President handily 'won' that state. Other polls said the race was too close to call. Trump won by more than four and a half million votes. So, what happened? Plus, with his return to the White House assured, how many of Donald Trump's campaign utterances will come to pass? He vowed retribution against those he perceives did him wrong. He's promised pardons for those convicted in connection with January 6th and then there are his 'own' legal cases. And while it was a happy night for Trump supporters, it was the opposite for Kamala Harris' supporters. Americans react to the results. To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. More than 83 million Americans had already cast their ballots before polls opened this morning with tens of millions more expected to vote in person today. Some predict the 2024 election could see record turnout. The last big push came last night as both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump each made final appeals to voters. And the rest of the world also awaits the results of today's election. The outcome could impact everything from U.S. support of Ukraine, to trade with China. And around the world, the American election is front page news. Plus, as we await the outcome of the election, a lot of Americans are finding themselves feeling stressed out right about now.  And while casting his vote in Florida, Donald Trump said win or lose, this will be his last run for the White House. What does the future hold for the former president and Kamala Harris if the election doesn't go their way?   To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.
