30 years after she was convicted for drowning her little boys in her car, Susan Smith is asking a South Carolina parole board to free her from prison. Today the trial got underway with testimony from Laken's three roommates who relived the horror of that day. The suspect has pled not guilty and during his opening statements, the suspect's lawyer said the case is based on only circumstantial evidence. And a mother of a 10-year-old boy couldn't believe it when cops showed up at her door, put her under arrest, and in cuffs.
