A crushing day for stock markets around the world, and it's all due to one thing:  the tariffs announced on all goods entering the United States. Some analysts are now using the word recession, and with fears that prices will be going way up some Americans have started panic buying. However, the message from the White House is "trust in President Trump." And world leaders are reacting to the tariff's including the prime minister of Australia who says quote 'nowhere on earth is safe'…and that apparently includes an island where the only inhabitants are penguins. Plus, this sports reporter in New Orleans covering the Super Bowl was found dead in his hotel room.  Authorities say it was a robbery turned deadly after a woman he met at a bar drugged him. These three men tell Inside Edition they too were preyed upon by the same woman dubbed the "Bourbon Street hustler"...and they are pleading with other potentially embarrassed victims to come forward. And it's the story that shocked the nation - two young children dying in separate incidents - both while under the watch of their grandmother. Today it was sentencing day and the mother of the children delivered an excruciating victims statement against her own mother.  The grandmother was not charged in the earlier death of the toddler in the pond because prosecutors determined it was a one-time lapse in judgement.   To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. We've told you about all the attacks on Tesla’s, but this is one of the wildest yet. A woman claims another driver intentionally plowed into her Tesla, but she wasn't going to just watch her drive away. She gets out of her Tesla and blocks the other vehicle-- slamming on the hood and screaming until cops show up. And this guy is in the throes of a heart attack so deadly it's called the widow-maker. Thankfully, his wife was right there to call 911 leading to paramedics arriving quickly on the scene. Now they have a warning for everyone in their interview with our Ann Mercogliano. Plus, we’re seeing more intense video from that 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Thailand, including this -- a window washer hanging on for dear life as water from a rooftop pool comes cascading down around him. But some are pointing to the custom-made bats several of the sluggers were using to hit those balls. They were created by an MIT physics professor and are being called torpedo bats, but some say they should be torpedoed out of the MLB.
