Gutted but proud, Steve Cooper's Reds gave Liverpool a run for their money and could have snatched a result. In the tightest quarter-final of the weekend, Forest had enough chances to win this but were thwarted by a well-taken goal by Diogo Jota, just after Philip Zinckernagel should have put the Reds in the lead. Jota probably was onside, and the challenge by Allison on Ryan Yates probably wasn't a penalty, but it didn't stop the accusations about LiVARpool; as Cooper said, it would have been interesting to see what decisions would have been made at the other end of the pitch.
