What does it mean to be a citizen and a member?

What are the ecclesiastical minimums for church that we see in Ephesians?

1. Christ must be the cornerstone
2. It must be on the foundation of the revelation of the apostles and prophets
3. Living out the awkward sides hugs

1 corinthians 3:11 “For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

Ephesians 4:11-12 “And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers,12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,”

Who are the three people you’re closest with in the church?

Were you close at one time but need to rekindle?

Eph. 4:15-16 “15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.”

grown into building joined and held together. We are maturing in love.

It is the joining of parts by which the growing happens. It isn’t just Christ and then a finished product. We are actively fitting together.

Although God ultimately causes our growth, God has chosen the community to facilitate that growth. They speak the truth in love to one another.

We are a holy temple. It’s not about your preference, it’s about God’s presence.

When you become a disciple of Jesus, you become a one another.

The local church family is not marginal or optional or replaceable.

Pray and thank you God for the opportunity to be part of his family, and asked him to use use you to make others feel welcomed in it.
