Joe is opening up to David about how he gets annoyed with himself for getting annoyed when he is on holiday. Then unbeknown to Joe, their friend Lizzy pops up on the zoom to discuss how she saw Joe doing the park run two and half years ago. Rising Star is a new Chatabix segment, a monthly spin off that follows a contestant after they've been on a reality show like Traitors, The Apprentice or Love Island. David & Joe want to find the next Mark Wright or Alison Hammond and document their journey to (hopefully) fame and fortune, discussing what happens next and how they'll approach stardom. From getting their first TV agent, to deciding if they should they go on I’m A Celebrity, the rising stars will hopefully spill the beans on how it felt going on Loose Women for the first time ! Joe & David will follow someone they think have a great chance of having a TV career beyond the show that they have just been on. In this first pilot episode they chat to Paul Gorton, that tall traitorish guy from Series 2 of The Traitors UK. Tracking Paul's progress as he tries to make it in the industry they chat about all the offers he has had, what TV & radio shows he's done, how many insta followers he now has and what's next. Everyone's favourite, TV Joe is back on again after the spa episode fiasco. This time he get's to do the special January TV quiz he's prepared for Joe and David. They get cross if he doesn't have one so are very happy today. Joe gets over competitive again but David seems to know his stuff. Disapointingly TV Joe hasn’t been watching Traitors so they can't natter about it but they do wang on about the old and new Gladiators show. While they are waiting for David to come on the zoom, Joe and TV Joe plan next years christmas party. TV Joe apologises for snapping at Natalie Cassidy when he was hungover at the last Chatabix christmas party. As they continue to wait, it becomes clear that David has forgotten they are podding. When David eventually appears he is outside a not so luxury spa that he has walked out of because he felt too uncomfortable. It transpires he went to the spa for the day with his wife Naomi and got the days muddled thinking TV Joe was on the following week. After some digging about why they left the spa early it seems that David's perception of events don’t quite tally up with his wifes. Joe makes David take Naomi for a pub lunch. It's so good to have Paul Gorton back in the bosom of Chatabix once again after his appearance on BBC1 show The Traitors series 2. Joe and David try to think of some questions that Paul hasn’t already been asked in the hundreds of interviews he's done since leaving the show. David is overwhelmed by the weight of what to ask. Paul tells them how he’s coping with his new found fame. He's actually loving it. They ask Paul the million dollar question everyone wants to know, 'is the turret real' ? After his success as a traitor on the telly box, discussion turns to what's next for Paul. This segues nicely into Joe and David’s new show idea ‘Rising Star.’ It’s great to have Paul back for a (long) chat and he doesn’t disappoint. David is late to the record and nearly misses the surprise guest which Joe has arranged. Joe has managed to track down Adam, the guy who spotted David on the beach in Antigua. Adam walks us through all the times he spotted David while he was on holiday including the beach, the airport and back at Heathrow. He also tells us what he was thinking when he saw David in the sea and the first time he took his top off.
