Levi Boone Helm | The Kentucky Cannibal - Part 3

Levi Boone Helm | The Kentucky Cannibal - Part 3

She fought him off when she could, her arms straining against his weight, her breath hitching as she prayed for him to collapse into a drunken stupor. On good nights, he’d pass out mid-act, his body slumping onto her like a felled oak, his breath hot and sour against her neck. She would shove him aside, her muscles trembling, and crawl to the edge of the bed, curling into herself to escape the memory of his touch. On bad nights, she endured the full brutality of his lust, his fingers digging into her flesh, leaving crescent-shaped bruises that bloomed like dark flowers across her arms and thighs.

Belle Gunness - Part 2

Belle Gunness - Part 2

Belle Gunness is one of the craziest serial killers, having possibly killed over 40 people. She would lure men to her house and they would never be seen again. Motivated by greed, she was driven to kill a mass number of people—the exact number, we might never be sure of. Belle Gunness is one of the craziest serial killers, having possibly killed over 40 people. She would lure men to her house and they would never be seen again. Motivated by greed, she was driven to kill a mass number of people—the exact number, we might never be sure of. Children in La Porte, Indiana grow up listening to graphic horror stories about the gruesome murder’s committed by Belle Gunness on her farm at the end of McClung Road. The most disturbing part about these grisly stories is that the gory parts are not fiction. Belle Gunness (also known as Lady Bluebeard, The LaPorte Black Widow, The Mistress of Murder Farm, and Hell’s Belle) was probably one of America’s most prolific serial killers who likely killed between 25 and 30 people, including women and children, at the turn of the 20th century. William Devin Howell | Sick Ripper feat. Anne K. Howard - Part 2

William Devin Howell is an American serial killer who was convicted of murdering seven people in 2003. He is believed to have been the most prolific serial killer in Connecticut history. In November 2017, while already serving a 15-year prison sentence for manslaughter, he was sentenced to six consecutive life sentences. The victims were identified as 7 women. Their bodies were discovered behind a shopping plaza on Hartford Road in New Britain, beginning in 2007. The person who discovered the bodies had been looking for hunting ground. The area is wooded and marshy and is inaccessible by car, which delayed the investigation and recovery of the victims. Anne K. Burke and Hare

Burke and Hare

The Burke and Hare murders were a series of 16 murders committed over a period of about ten months in 1828 in Edinburgh, Scotland. The killings were undertaken by William Burke and William Hare, who sold the corpses to Doctor Robert Knox for dissection at his anatomy lectures. Edinburgh was a leading European centre of anatomical study in the early 19th century, in a time when the demand for cadavers led to a shortfall in legal supply. Scottish law required that corpses used for medical research should only come from those who had died in prison, suicide victims, or from foundlings and orphans. The shortage of corpses led to an increase in grave robbing by what were known as resurrection men. Measures to ensure graves were left undisturbed exacerbated the shortage. When a lodger in Hare's house died, he turned to his friend Burke for advice and they decided to sell the body to Knox. They received what was, for them, the generous sum of £7 10s. A little over two months later, when Hare was concerned that a lodger suffering from fever would deter others from staying in the house, he and Burke murdered her and sold the body to Knox. The men continued their murder spree, probably with the knowledge of their wives. Burke and Hare's actions were uncovered after other lodgers discovered their last victim, Margaret Docherty, and called the police. The Bloody Benders

The Bloody Benders

The Bloody Benders were a family of serial killers who lived and operated in Labette County, Kansas from 1871 to 1873. The family consisted of John Bender; his wife, Elvira Bender; son, John, Jr.; and daughter, Kate. While Bender mythology holds that John Jr. and Kate were brother and sister, contemporary newspapers reported that several of the Benders' neighbors had stated that they claimed to be married, possibly a common law marriage. It is believed that the Benders killed at least a dozen travelers before their crimes were discovered and the family fled, with their fate uncertain. Much folklore and legend surround the Benders, making it difficult to separate fact from fiction. The Zodiac Series - Part 3

The Zodiac Killer took credit for several murders in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1960s. He was never caught. The self-proclaimed Zodiac Killer was directly linked to at least five murders in Northern California in 1968 and 1969 and may have been responsible for more. He taunted police and made threats through letters sent to area newspapers from 1969 to 1974, before abruptly ceasing communication. Despite intensive investigations, no one was ever arrested for the crimes and the case remains open.
