As Capital Group celebrates the 50th anniversary of it's debut in the business of fixed income management, long-tenured present and retired portfolio managers share some memorable experiences and lessons learned. The first of a two-part series features current portfolio manager Kirstie Spence, who focuses on emerging markets debt, and retired portfolio manager John Smet, who also served as principal investment officer for The Bond Fund of America®.
