It turns out, cops were already looking for the suspect in connection with the horrific rape of a mother in front of her partner and child - and then allegedly setting their home on fire to die inside. Plus, the second GOP presidential debate was a big hot mess…but there was one highlight to come from it. Donald Trump who famously gives nicknames to his political rivals now has one himself after choosing not to attend the debate, Chris Christie now calls him 'Donald Duck.' And there's always a risk of rain when you hold an outdoor party. These diners thought they snagged the hottest ticket in town, waiting more than a year to get a table. They had no idea it wasn't a real restaurant, just an elaborate hoax. And buses are America's most widely used form of public transport, accounting for nearly half of all public transit trips, but how safe are they? Lately, there have been increasing incidents of violence, and passengers aren't the only targets. And last Friday, a melee at a game in California left a 16-year-old girl in the hospital with head injuries. As Jim Moret reports, she was thrown to the ground by a police officer trying to break up the fight. And defiant New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez told reporters today he won’t resign, despite facing federal criminal charges of extortion and bribery…including with gold bars. And here's the just released 911 call placed when he knocked on a stranger's door for help. Plus, he was training for a marathon when he suffered a massive heart attack and collapsed. Incredibly, a number of health care professionals were also running and knew just what to do…and refused to stop doing CPR on the man. As Sibila Vargas reports, he's alive today as a result.
